The binoculars BPC series are manufactured by KOMZ (Kazan Optical and Mechanical Plant), Russia.
'B' stands for binocular,
'P' for Porro prism, and
'C' stands for central focusing.

Prismatic monocular with central focusing BPC 10x40.  "BAIGISH" is designed for observation of distant objects at a temperature of -40 to +50°C. The monocular comes with antireflection or "ruby" coating of optics, the latter creating comfortable conditions while viewing objects in the dusk. The bread and butter line of medium magnification monocular, the mid-range BPC mid-mag line gives you all the functionality more than what you expect all at such price.

This is something that is recommended as actually improving the sight data at reasonable price.  Its sole purpose is to make the horizon clearer and sharper because of its very best accuracy incorporated.  The scope can also be used for general purpose monocular sighting (buoys, birds, etc), if you do not have access to higher-powered binoculars.

All in all, not only do you have the ability to scan for your targets but now you can detect the range of your target... a must for accuracy.

About KOMZ
KOMZ (Kazan Optical and Mechanical Plant) started to operate on 8th of February 1940 when it’s under the former USSR, located in Leningrad.

In late 1941 KOMZ manufactured its first 5000 binoculars with 6-power magnification for military mortar and tank scopes. A few months later, the well-known artillery scope “GERDA PG” was developed by KOMZ in the early of 1942. During WW II, KOMZ produced a wide range of optics instruments, including binoculars; photographic objectives; photo controlling devices; marine range finders and dive-bombers scopes.

In post-war years, the production lines were shifted to producing interferometers, astronomic instruments and aerial cameras. Besides, a brand new product line was launched – spectroscopes, IR – devices, refractometers, microfilm cameras, electro photographic copiers and film cameras.

With the advent of Perestroika KOMZ designs and develops new conversion lines: night vision devices “Baigish” (Owl) over 15 models, laser range finders, depth measuring instruments, various types of spectrum analyzers, laser spectrometers for measuring environmental pollution, riflescopes in addition to over 12 types of medical instruments.

KOMZ possesses its unbeatable position in optics industry relying on its sustainable commitment for excellence as strong today as it was 70 years ago almost. With The KOMZ signature on a product is your assurance that you are purchasing one of the world’s finest optical instruments that you will never regret.
